Unfortunately I have become quite the potty mouth over the past several years. Most people do not know this negative thing about me because it's normally just at home. (Don't you say anything MM!) Sometimes I get so stressed out or upset and a foul word seems to perfectly vent that frustration. But now we have a little girl who repeats everything I say, so I am making a conscious effort to say "nicer" words to replace the bad ones. I know it must be working because when my toddler dropped something today, she said "Oh, shucks". It was very cute. Much cuter than the day that she dropped a stack of dish rags and said "Shit, shit, shit, shit!" (One "shit" for every dish rag).
I've really had to curb the "F" word. I'm very ashamed to say that I do say it sometimes. My Mom would think I was awful if she heard me. I've been turning the "F" word into "Fudgesickles" if I start to say it in front of the kids. So if you hear my toddler talking of fudgesickles, you'll know that she's really mad. Actually, I sometimes say "freakin fudgesickles".
I have to congratulate MM because he does not cuss often. Believe it or not, I'm the guilty one. Although, he is sometimes the one who makes me want to cuss...just kidding!! I am definitely changing that. When I was a kid, I got in trouble for saying "farted" because I heard my dad say it when we were out in the garden. I know that I went into the house and said "Daddy farted". My mom was not happy with my dad for teaching me that. Ah...the days when "fart" was a bad word.

Me, Most of the Time
It's hard to read the little notes above, so here it is again... this is me most days!!
Frizzy hair falling out everywhere
Wearing horrible tent-like pink shirt because it's the only one that fits
Bag of stinky diapers
Achy feet
Spit up stain on all shirts
Often carrying a wipey...good for wiping faces, bottoms, spills, baby spit- ups, and myself if I haven't had a shower
Blue jean cropped pants with stretch to suck in my post pregnancy tummy
No time to shave horrible hairy legs
Very attractive, hmmmm???

The Dumbest Thing
This is the story of the dumbest thing that I've done in my life. I look back at this moment with humor and wanted to share it. This is also the story of my first car wreck.
When I was first out of college, I worked two part time jobs and had a two hour break in-between. While driving to my second job at 2pm, I saw a car coming at me from the right from a parking lot. The driver wasn't stopping! I pushed the gas to try to get out of her way, but she nipped my back bumper and I had to pull over with it dragging behind me.
I got out of the car, but the other driver had backed up into the parking lot and stayed in her car. I was dazed when she told me to get in her car and that she would drive me to the nearest pay phone which was within sight. That way we could call the police. She admitted that it was her fault. She seemed very sweet.
I jumped in the car and my heart sank as she drove past the pay phone and quickly cut over to a side road! I yelled "What are you doing?!!" Just then, she ran off the road and hit a fence on my side. The car went into a ditch with the passenger door pressed into the bank. I had to push her out of the car to climb out myself.
Next, the woman sat down at the side of the road and started smoking a cigarette. The police came and asked me if I knew that the woman was drunk. I was very silly and did not know. The policeman didn't know what to think when I told him the whole story...that a drunk woman wrecked my car and then I jumped in her car and was involved in a second wreck. Pretty unbelievable.
Then the policeman explained that the first wreck had happened just over the county line, so the other county's police had to be summoned as well. It turned into a big fiasco with four policemen from two counties having to sort things out.
The story got a bit crazier when it was discovered that the drunk woman didn't own the car, she was test driving it from a local dealership! And she had a revoked license! The dealership paid me the worth of my junky car, so I was able to use it to help pay for a better one!
Well, whenever I'm feeling low and think I did something dumb, I can always think back to this story and say "Nope, I'll never top that one."

Diapering the Cat
One day I'm going to be so frazzled that I will accidentally diaper the cat. There are so many diapers to change anyway...what's one more?
Our 2 year old is not interested in the potty yet. She actually used the potty several times the day before her brother was born. Then that was the end of that! I need to come up with a potty plan to try to get her to try it again.

Abner Paws
This is our cat Abner. I drew this side of him because the other side has many more spots that I could not recreate. He is funny and thinks that he is a person. The most hilarious and disgusting thing I caught him doing? I walked into the bathroom to see him up on the countertop brushing his teeth! I have an electric toothbrush that stands in a holder. He had his lips kind of pulled back and was actually rubbing his teeth on the bristles! Yuck. I have not used the toothbrush since, but I wonder how many times he'd done it before.

Super Mommy
It's hard to be Super Mommy. I feel very happy with how I'm taking care of the kids. I try to do fun developmental activities with them each day, I keep them fed and diapers changed. They both seem to be very happy. I'm pretty good about keeping the trash and diaper pails changed and having dinner ready by the time that Mark gets home. Those things are good, but that's where it ends. That's all I get done, it seems.
By the time work rolls around, I'm so tired. I probably shouldn't feel this tired, but I do anyway. Then my heart is not completely in my work, so I don't do the best that I can do. Then there's the list of chores that I didn't get to, but Mark does it. I try to start and change over the never-ending loads of laundry, but never never get it done. Mark ends up doing most of the other chores including folding and putting away the laundry. He's definitely a Super Hubby and Daddy, because he does all that after working full time shifts. He also does lots of activities with the kids (especially our wild toddler). He's always busy.
Well, after thinking it through, it's not so bad this way. I just need to work on a few areas... like cleaning. Ugh!!! It's difficult to feel like doing that when I'd rather have a little "fun" free time. We'll work it out I suppose.
On a strange but funny note, my hair is falling out. I've read that it can happen if you're breast feeding your baby. So my long dark hairs are turning up everywhere, so I'm always trying to sweep them up or pick them up off the carpet. At the same time, my little girl is having an adversion to finding any type of hair on the floor. (This includes cat fur) She will find it and yell out "Ewwww!!! Animal Hairs!!!!" or "EWWWW! Abner hairs!!!" or "EWWWWW! Tansy hairs!!!" (Those are our cats' names) She may even have a screaming fit if one of these offending hairs gets into her mouth... which somehow seems to happen a lot. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Anyway, I'd better go now and take care of the babies!

Happy Happy Flowers!
Today happens to be both Mommy's Day and my birthday. This morning when my daughter got up, I told her that it is Mommy's special day. She said "Happy happy flowers!" She also gave me a very sweet birthday kiss. It's neat that she said that because I have always associated Mother's Day and my birthday with flowers.
There was always a beautiful and sweet smelling pink rosebush in full bloom behind my childhood home on Mother's Day. We would get up early that morning to get ready for church and slip out to the rosebush. My mom and I would each take a rose and wear the roses as corsages to church. What a sweet memory.
Also in bloom on my birthday would be a lilac bush beside our house. It smelled so lovely. I would pick lilacs on my birthday, and Mom put them in a vase for me on the kitchen table. We could smell them throughout the house.
Today I felt so tired because my baby has resumed his 4am feeding. Mark went out and bought a cake and some beautiful plants and flowers to plant in our yard. I watched out the window as my daughter "helped" her daddy by digging around in the dirt.
My daughter loves flowers too. I have a few gardening books around from the library and some that I own. She loves looking at them like picture books and says "Ooh flowers!" She names all the different colors. She gets so excited to see the flowers blooming around our house.
This has been a nice Mother's day. We're going to go up to Mark's parents' house for dinner. Have a great day and enjoy the flowers! Happy happy flowers to you!

Perpetually Pooped
I feel tired all the time...even after a nap or a good night's sleep. I think that I'm tired too much. Having two young children gives me reason to be tired sometimes, but I don't think I should feel this way constantly even after resting. I'm hoping that it's just the lack of exercise. I'll know soon, because I'm going to take the kids on walks every day that's nice when the new stroller arrives.
My baby giggled and laughed for the first time yesterday for my friend Linda! He's so chubby and jolly that it's funny. He makes us all laugh...even our toddler thinks he's funny.

Baby Gear
Well, I finally broke down and ordered a double jogger stroller for our little beebops. I have spent the most money on our collection of strollers. We have a Bob Jogger Stroller for our toddler, and we've really got our money's worth out of it. Mark and I constantly used it to walk out on the gravel road that we live on. It's great! I've ordered the exact same stroller, except it's a two-seater. I've tried taking them out in the other double stroller we have, but it just doesn't work well on the rough road...it's more of a mall stroller. I want to safely take go out on real walks to get exercise. I will count this as my Mother's day and birthday present combined!!
I've also ordered the Bumbo seat for the baby. I kept seeing pictures of it on Ash's blog with her little one happily playing in it. It looks so comfy and seems to be a great way for a baby to strengthen his muscles for learning how to sit. I can't wait till it gets here!
Mark gets so irritated with me because I debate and debate about ordering baby items (because of the price), but I always end up ordering it anyway. I heavily research the item before I buy it...I don't know why I'm obsessive about doing that. Mark says just order it already! I do feel good about this though.
Have a nice evening!
